Source: Bois de Jasmin

Saturday, October 17, 2026 18:00–19:30 CEST / 12:00–13:30 EDT Online · 1.5 hours (recording will be available) Price: €60 Register here What has 2026 brought us in perfume? For this special 90-minute class, we will smell and discuss some of the year’s most interesting new releases, while looking at the larger trends shaping contemporary perfumery. We will explore new launches from Guerlain and Matière Première, discuss Dior’s reformulations of its classics, and smell a selection of recent niche releases. I will share some of my favorite artisanal Chinese brands, including the most beautiful offers from Lapot Studio, an outstanding Shanghai-based niche house. I will also bring in whatever other interesting discoveries and launches I can find before the class. Rather than simply reviewing the perfumes, we will smell them analytically. What materials and structures are being used? What feels genuinely new? What ideas keep repeating across different brands? How are houses reworking their heritage for contemporary tastes? And what do these perfumes tell us about where fragrance is heading? The exact perfume list will remain somewhat open until the class so that I can include the newest and most interesting things available. You can bring your favorite 2026 launches to smell with me. No previous perfumery training is necessary. The class is suitable both for perfume lovers and for students who want to develop a more analytical way of smelling contemporary fragrance.
